Recent data - including public opinion polls and audits of anti-Semitic incidents - indicate that anti-Semitism is more virulent today than it has been in many years. Modern manifestations in Europe and the Middle East have demonstrated the seriousness of the issue. “Death to the Jews” and “Back to the Ovens” are common signs at protests around the world. In numerous countries, synagogues and Jewish cemeteries have been vandalized and defaced; Jewish businesses have been boycotted and intimidated; and Jewish males have been attacked for wearing kipot (head coverings) on the street. With the dramatic rise in the number of anti-Semitic incidents, MZ Foundation gives high priority to proactive, pro-Jewish programming.

MZ Foundation’s primary mission is to combat anti-Semitism worldwide. To address this deep concern, we encourage programs that work to effectively prevent and counteract displays of anti-Jewish hatred. Key areas of focus include: positive educational curricula about the Jewish people and Israel; training programs for law enforcement officers to respond to hate crimes; and advocacy platforms at all levels of society to protect Jewish rights, nationally and internationally.
