Since its establishment in 1948, the State of Israel has been “the most media covered” country in the world. Today, newspapers, websites, and television programs are saturated with images of thousands of people storming the streets of major international cities in protest against Israel—vilifying its actions and its people. Often, these hateful displays foment anti-Semitic incidents. As the “new” anti-Semitism draws upon anti-Israel sentiment for support, MZ Foundation recognizes the clear imperative for accurate, positive reporting on behalf of Israel and the Jewish people.
